Suburban Office Cancellations: An Illustrated Trip Through London Districts
Introduction
The aim of this presentation is to show not really easy to find examples of Suburban Offices Cancellations mostly from the 1861‑series on covers or loose stamps. These are accompanied by old photos or drawings as illustrations and a note about the district's location in London, mostly in relationship to Charing Cross to give people who have never lived in London a rough idea.Notes:
Concerning "G.P.O." – This abbreviation means: Proof Book Entry only => not recorded in use;
Not concerning stamps – In a few cases it was not possible to find an old photograph or drawing from the Victorian Era on the Internet for a particular district, so I filled the gaps with slightly newer ones.
